Questions people ask
Is the quotation maker really free?
Yes. There is no limit on quotations, your logo is included and you do not need an account to download. A free account only saves your details for next time.
What should a GST quotation include?
Your business name, address and GSTIN, the customer's details, a quotation number and date, how long the prices are valid, each item with its HSN code, quantity and rate, the GST that applies, and your terms. The maker puts each of these in its place.
How is the GST split worked out?
From your GSTIN's state and the place of supply, usually the customer's state. Same state: CGST and SGST. Different states: IGST. You can change the place of supply, for example when the goods go to someone else on your customer's instructions. For an export customer it shows no GST and can print your LUT line.
Is a quotation a tax invoice?
No. A quotation offers prices before a sale. Once the buyer agrees, turn it into a proforma invoice in one tap, and issue your GST tax invoice from your billing software when the goods go out.
