Questions people ask
What is an RFQ?
A request for quotation is a buyer's list of what they need, sent to suppliers to ask for their prices. Each supplier replies with a quotation, and the buyer orders from the best one with a purchase order.
Is an RFQ a purchase order?
No. An RFQ invites suppliers to quote and does not commit you to buy; the PDF says so in plain words. You order later with a purchase order, which you can make from this RFQ in one tap.
How many days of credit can I ask a supplier for?
With a micro or small enterprise, the MSME Act caps agreed credit at 45 days from acceptance, and later payment carries compound interest at three times the RBI bank rate. The form warns you when you ask for more.
Can suppliers on Bael Trade quote for my RFQ?
Yes. Tap "Get quotes" for an item and post it on Bael Trade: KYC-verified suppliers who sell it can send you quotes. Posting is free for buyers.
