Jharkhand: the rule within the state
- Within Jharkhand an e-way bill is needed when the consignment value (GST included) exceeds ₹1,00,000.
- Own limit of ₹50,000 for: Iron and steel; sponge iron; coal including coke; motor parts; all edible oils; tobacco products, cigarettes, gutkha and pan masala; iron ore; ferrous and non-ferrous metal and scrap; cement; tiles, marble and granite; timber and timber products; plywood, block board, flush doors, decorative and laminated sheets.
- Gold, precious stones and jewellery: the state has not mandated an e-way bill under Rule 138F, so none is needed within the state.
- Between Jharkhand and any other state the central rule applies: an e-way bill above ₹50,000, and at any value for job work and exempt-artisan handicrafts.
