What is the e-way bill limit in Punjab?

Within Punjab an e-way bill is needed when the consignment value exceeds ₹1,00,000 (GST included), under PA/ETC/2018/175, 13 Sep 2018, and GST-I-2018/2-State, 8 Oct 2018, both with immediate effect. Between Punjab and any other state the limit is ₹50,000 under Rule 138 of the CGST Rules.

Who generates the e-way bill in Punjab?

The registered person who causes the movement, usually the seller; the registered buyer when the seller is unregistered; the principal or job worker for job work; and the supplier or recipient for rail, air and ship. A transporter can fill the vehicle details from the sender's Part A.

How long is an e-way bill valid in Punjab?

The same everywhere in India: one day for every 200 km or part of it (20 km for over-dimensional cargo), each day ending at midnight, extendable within 8 hours either side of expiry. Use the checker above for the exact time.
