How the calculation works

  • Adding GST: GST = amount × rate ÷ 100, and total = amount + GST.
  • Removing GST: GST = amount × rate ÷ (100 + rate), and amount before GST = amount − GST.
  • Within a state the GST is split half and half into CGST and SGST. Between states the full GST is IGST.
